    This has been very informative to me. I've had my '67 since 1987. The body was pieced together before I bought it and I've always wondered what the heck was going on with some of the weird fits. Your video has helped me answer many of my questions. Don't know if I'll ever correct them but I've learned a few tricks from you that will help if I decide to tackle any of them. Thank you.

    My original headlight bar came completely unbonded. I got 3 broken relay bolts, rusted in, but got them soaking in penetrating oil for a week. I still have to remove the surface rust, treat for corrosion, and re-paint. How much is this carbon fiber headlight bar? I just might want to upgrade my 1981 vette.

    I have some debonding issues on a 81 vette, and i think your product is what i need. How much is it, and how can I get it. This vette was shaken very baddly. Driven up and down a 5 mile dirt road at 50 and 60 mph, both ways. It's got a few debonding issues at the body and inner fender wheels, and cracks at front and back fenders. Any tips you can give, I'll be forever grateful.

    This is a good place to do business with… Great customer service everytime I need corvette adhesive’s or hardware!! I replaced my left rear qtr panel without ever doing any corvette bodywork ever. I watched this man’s videos and purchased his two part cans of adhesive and my finished product was amazing and absolutely perfect. SIDE NOTE, I’d totally marry this man’s daughter!!!

    A bonding strip in a place the factory did not use it screams damaged and then repaired. It can also be top glassed then back glassed leaving NO SIGNS of repair. Retaining the cars value as it will never crack out and the repair will never be seen. P.S. We went through the same issue putting GM factory Quarters on 1973 cars. My father called GM and they admitted they had changed the body material to get parts out of the molds easier. Those rear quarter panels we learned quickly were unrepairable using standard fiberglass. I am not implying your repair isn't permanent or quality but it is discoverable possibly devaluing the car.

    wow, I had a ´65 that my father had purchased brand new and I had sent the bumpers to San Diego to be rechromed around 1994. They came back great but I remember how heavy they were. I was searching for how to plate carbon fiber and found this video. (I got arrested for family court and had to sell the vette to pay for the lawyer) I am looking for it years later.

    Could you use a heat gun to speed up the curing of the epoxy?

    • @frankcarden4709
      @frankcarden4709 5 місяців тому

      Within reason, too much heat and it'll bubble and kind of burn or scorch,also a bit of warpage might happen if it gets to hot but not hot enough to scorch, sometimes your just better to wait for it.

    Thanks for the Shim Trick & cool Rear Deck Lid look! Instead of me buying a standard HardTop for my C2, which is just ok... Has anyone ever heard of a C2 HardTop being Molded to the Shape of the beautiful Coupe. I know its a crazy idea because of a long size, but if left on - it could transform our Convertibles!
